Nahid and Ali Khataw have spent countless hours serving the community and have been strong supporters of interfaith action in Austin. Nahid and Ali deeply care about our community, and they work hard to make a better, safer, and kinder Texas for people of every background, ethnicity, and faith.
Nahid is the founder of her own business; was the former president of iACT, the Interfaith Action of Central Texas; Chair of the Asian Community & Education Foundation which provides free health fairs for the community; and a board member of the American Red Cross; and an alumnus of the Leadership Austin program.
Ali is an accomplished photographer and philanthropist; the founder and CEO of Encotech Engineering; has served on the boards of the Austin Chamber of Commerce; Goodwill Industries; KUT-FM; Mayor Adler’s taskforce on institutionalized racism; and the first Asian American Chairman Board Chair of Leadership Austin.
